Your first capture indicates there are checksum errors in the
packet. The second capture doesn't have checksum errors.
I wasn't clear where the two captures were taken in your
network setup.

There's corruption somewhere. It could be your ISP or it could
be inside your own network.

I'd try simplifying the setup and connecting the replay by wire
directly to your router and see if that improves things.

In the future, the binary pcap dump is easier for us to read.

Capture

Sorry, the first capture is via the external NIC on my firewall. The second capture is via the internal NIC of the firewall. The firewall is dual NIC'd and performing NAT.

I didn't attach the PCAP because of the form only accepts gif jpg png txt zip bmp jpeg.

Thanks for your suggestions.

If that's the case, then there might be something amiss with
your dual-nic pc/firewall. All the checksum problems were with
packets leaving your unit and destined for the RDDNS server.

Either that or ethereal is misreporting stuff.

Have you tried replacing the dual-nic'd PC with a router device?

As for attaching pcap files, you can just rename the pcap file or
zip it up.

You're passing the IVS tester.

Have you tried to isolate the source of the Checksum Errors
listed above? That is likely one component (or "the" component)
of your problems.

Have you tried replacing dual-NICd PC with cheap $10 router?

tester doesnt work for me

This works with a browser, anywhere on the net:
http://69.167.25.3:1234/ivs-IVSGetUnitInfo

but, IVS Tester does not. The IVS tester has never worked for my unit, even when i've been able to send/ receive shows just fine. What does the IVS tester do?

quote:

Asked ReplayTV server about unit at ISN 00004-54831-51276.

Found on Replay server.

The IP for your ReplayTV is 69.167.25.3
The Port for your ReplayTV is 1234

Unable to contact ReplayTV unit.

500 Can't connect to 69.167.25.3:1234 (connect: timeout)

Check your port forwarding settings.

Don't know why your ISP would block that port from only select networks rather than all networks....but port 1234 is the used by the Beagle worm....
